USA - Team Green™ racers Bobby Bonds, Destry Abbott and up-and-coming youth racer Ryan Villopoto took the checkered flag to sweep the winner’s podium at the legendary Elsinore Grand Prix.
All three riders entered the Pro race on Sunday, Nov. 14, and when the dust cleared, it was Bonds who put his KX250-M2 across the finish line first, followed by Abbott on a KX250-R1 and Villopoto on his KX250F.
Making the victory that much sweeter are the different backgrounds of the three riders: Bonds is an experienced motocrosser who switched to off-road racing in 2003, while Abbott has specialized in off-road competition since 1995. Villopoto recently stepped from the youth motocross ranks to compete in the 125 Pro class.
